Sagemcom device on my network
Sagemcom is a French manufacturer of broadband routers, set-top boxes and smart meters for service providers.
What Sagemcom makes
Sagemcom builds internet gateways, Wi-Fi extenders and TV boxes that providers around the world supply to customers, often under the provider's own name. Orange's Livebox is one well-known example.
What the device on your network probably is
Most likely your provider's router or a Wi-Fi extender. Next most likely a provider TV box.
How to work out which device it is
Compare the address with the label on your router, extenders and TV box. The router is usually the device at your gateway IP address.
Should you be worried
Nothing to worry about: it is almost always equipment your provider supplied.
The app finds every device on the Wi-Fi you are on, at home or in a rental, and puts the vendor next to the hostname, the services it advertises and its open ports, which together usually name the product. Where it cannot tell, it says so instead of guessing. Get RECON for iPhone — one-time purchase, no account, nothing leaves the device.
