Silicon Labs is an American chip company specialising in low-power wireless chips for smart-home and IoT devices.
What Silicon Labs makes
Its chips handle Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread, Matter, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in smart-home hubs, sensors, locks, bulbs and switches. It bought Redpine Signals' Wi-Fi and Bluetooth business in 2020.
What the device on your network probably is
Most likely a smart-home hub or bridge, or a Wi-Fi smart-home device such as a lock, sensor or switch. Zigbee, Z-Wave and Thread devices do not join Wi-Fi at all, so what you see is usually the hub or a Wi-Fi device.
How to work out which device it is
Check the device information pages of your smart-home hub and Wi-Fi gadgets for a matching MAC address. Unplug the hub or suspect devices one at a time.
Should you be worried
Nothing to worry about: this is normally part of your own smart-home setup. The name says who made the chip, not which product it is in.
